Key Club Leadership
Key Club is an international organization divided into 33 districts- We have clubs in Canada, Bahamas, Jamaica, Bermuda, and even China! Our international president, Rip Livingston (from the Alabama District) and vice president, Addison Clipfell (from the Michigan District) , are in charge of Key Club International. Then trustees are in charge of specific districts, our trustee is Amy Jiang (from the Texas-Oklahoma District). She is also in charge of our sister districts: Eastern Canada and Florida!
As residents of Illinois, we are a part of the Illinois Eastern Iowa district that is run by our governor, Kristin John. Kristin serves on the district board with other officers who assist her in duties to lead our district: secretary, statistical secretary and treasurer. The names of our current district officer are listed on the Family Tree located below. Also, we have an Iolian editor who creates our district newspaper, tech chair and a new club building chair who helps struggling clubs and District Convention and Leadership chair to coordinate our convention in March.
Next, our district is into 9 regions. We are a part of region 2 with divisions 5/6, 8,9, and our division, 21. An adult adviser is in charge of our region, his name is Dan Conrod. I-I Key Club includes a total of 36 divisions and Division 21 is one of the biggest ones in our district with 13 schools.

Special Leadership Opportunity
Hello Division 21!
We have a very special opportunity to serve on the Key Club International Board for the Eliminate Project Service Leadership Program! Any key club member is welcome to apply (you don't have to be an officer) to serve on this subcommittee that promotes the Eliminate Project and helps to make fundraising decisions.

I hope all of you are enjoying your summers. International Convention was a blast, and we had many award winners and recognitions from our district. Maria Palazzolo stepped down as our International President, and Jim Rochford from Peoria, IL will be stepping in as the Kiwanis International Vice President.
On another note, since the two current SLP Subcommittee members have graduated and are leaving Key Club, there will be 2 openings on the committee for the upcoming year. The committee primarily works to expand and promote the Eliminate Project, while also making major fundraising decisions. Pasted from the application, the following is a more in-depth description of the committee, its duties, and the application process:
"The Eliminate Project’s Service Leadership Program (SLP) subcommittee advises on SLP-related fundraising initiatives for the campaign. It is comprised of two student leaders each from Circle K International and Key Club International and one adult representative each from K-Kids, Builders Club and Aktion Club. Individually, each SLP subcommittee leader works with the members of his or her SLP group. Collectively, the group represents the SLP family in the campaign. This subcommittee reports to and works with the fundraising campaign’s SLP Vice Chairman Jeffrey Wolff and SLP Campaign Director Ruth Gabler."Expectations for representatives on the subcommittee include:
-Attending bi-weekly webinars
-Serving as a liaison to the International Board as assigned
-Planning and promoting SLP activities such as The Eliminate Project Week and Show your Love, Save a Life
If you wish to be considered for the SLP subcommittee, please have this application submitted no later than 11:59 EST/EDT FRIDAY, JULY 31, 2015.
